Valentina Barrera

UAS Project Manager at ALTER Technology’s Certification Body

Valentina Barrera is a Project Manager in the UAS division at ALTER Technology’s certification body, where she has built a 3-year track record managing projects related to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS-drones). In her role, she coordinates conformity assessment activities, laboratory testing, and technical documentation preparation for drone certification, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. She holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master’s in RPAS and Project Management, with experience in certification, testing, and regulatory compliance within the European drone sector.

Efrén Díaz Díaz

Technology, Space and Geospatial Law Expert

Efrén Díaz Díaz is a lawyer and PhD in Law, Senior Partner and Head of the Technology and Space Law Department at Mas y Calvet Law Firm. He specializes in geospatial, aeronautical and technology law, advising on the legal framework for unmanned aircraft systems, including UAS and drones: authorizations and operations, airspace, liability, data and image processing, and data protection as a DPO.

He teaches at the Spanish Air and Space Force Academy and the University of Navarra, among other institutions. He is the author of the Geospatial Code published by the Spanish Official State Gazette, an INSPIRE expert and a member of ISO/TC 211 and UNE standardization committees, including the Artificial Intelligence subcommittee. He has been awarded the Medal of Merit in Cyber Defence and received the 2025 Innovation Award from the Madrid Bar Association.
